Oregon might be known for Pinot, however, there are a few select washington vineyards growing this popular grape. Our Pinot Noir comes from Chelan, and is bursting with cran-raspberry notes along with leather meaty tones. This wine pairs well with pretty much any component of your MRE as an appetizer, or with MRE XXXIX Menu 12 (Vegetarian) Elbow Macaroni in Tomato Sauce, Menu 7 Beef Strips in a Savory Tomato Based Sauce, and Menu 23 Pepperoni Pizza Slice
The Story: Black Sheep
The F-117 Nighthawk "Stealth Fighter" was the world's first operational stealth aircraft. Born out of a program so secretively developed, in true lockheed skinkworks fashion, the plane was flying combat missions for several years before it was formally unveiled. Assigned to the 8th fighter squadron (Lineage 1942) the squadron was known as experts at aerial combat. In 1943 the 8th crews created the "Black Sheep" squadron logo. The name stuck and a disney artist designed the distinctive logo that is still flown today.
